Why Groundwork?

“I built it because I needed it. After years of doing everything right — and still feeling like my career was something happening to me, not something I was building — I started writing things down. What I actually wanted. Where my energy was going. Who I was becoming at work, and whether I’d chosen any of it. This journal is what I wish had existed. For me, and for everyone who has ever sat in a review and thought: this is telling me how well I serve the system. It is not telling me where I’m going.“
